Starting with the classic movie monsters of the '30s and '40s, followed by the nuclear-inspire horror of the 50s, the lurid nature of horror in the '60s, how fear of children inspired horror in the '70s, how a new delight in horror infused the films of the 80s, and how horror movies since have glorified serial killers and reflected the fears of a new century.
