The Church of Classic Rock Join the Reverend Jeff Smith as he tries to answer the question of whether or not it's time to abolish the Electoral College! It was hoped that we'd be done with politics for a while, but... nope! So today, the Rev'll be examining the Electoral College for all its merits and flaws. He'll discuss the crack it has allowed in our laws, the original intent, how it's developed and changed over the country's 244-year history, how a growing number of states are joining a pact to basically render it powerless, and he'll end with his plea for those in power regarding the College's hold on American politics.
