The Church of Classic Rock April 7th - National Bookmobile Day Join the Reverend Jeff Smith for a celebration and acknowledgement of something only a certain portion of the population have ever encountered! April 10th is National Bookmobile Day, paying homage to the roaming libraries (and the roaming librarians who guide them) who bring the library to those who might not necessarily get into the actual building on a regular basis! The Rev'll talk about the day itself, why illiteracy is still something to be concerned about in the U.S.A., how Bookmobiles affect rural communities, one of the longest-running literacy programs in the country, and he'll share some fond memories of the Bookmobile that used to visit his neighborhood when he was in elementary school.
